Care & Use
The number one thing to remember when caring for your diapers, is they are just another load! There is no magical solution that you should need and no crazy tricks. Simply find a good detergent that works well for you and wash your diapers regularly. If you notice they smell dirty, mildew-y or strong with ammonia then it is time to find a new detergent because your current selection is either causing buildup or is not getting the diapers clean. If the detergent is causing red or rash, discontinue use immediately and try a more mild detergent. It is important that your cloth diaper detergent does not have any fabric softeners in it.

To Wash:
1. Cold Rinse
2. Hot Wash - Cold Rinse: Use 1/2-1/4 Recommended Amount of Detergent
3. Cool Rinse
4. Tumble Dry Low or Hang Dry

* * HE Machines - Please do not use the sanitize cycle on your Rump•a•rooz Diapers or Accessories. You may use that cycle on your inserts ONLY. The high temperature is not good for the laminate and can melt the laminate bond. Washing your pockets on the sanitize cycle will void the warranty.

Biodegradability:
In 2008 Rump•a•rooz using a biodegradable TPU waterproof material. Biodegradable TPU is solvent-free and is a polyester fabric that has been laminated with a thermoplastic polyurethane using a heat bonding process. This process is low in toxicity and is better for the natural environment. Both the TPU laminate and the polyester fabric the laminate is applied to are biodegradable. When composted they will biodegrade in 4 - 5 years.

Our Manufacturing
Rump•a•rooz® and accessories are made in several factories located in Denver Colorado, Chicago Illinois, Denmark and China. We have several factories to meet the supply and demand for all our customers and retail stores. The 2 facilities in CO and IL are both smaller companies that are woman owned and operated. These facilities are in charge of production of our original 12 colors and original 6 prints, sized inserts and specialty limited edition prints.

Products made overseas are manufactured by a small, European owned company in China, that is dedicated to ensuring safe workplace standards, above average salaries and incentives for their workers. It is leading the way in providing ethically responsible garment manufacturing while focusing on providing excellent quality textile garments while maintaining ethics in the workplace. No workers works more than 8 hours a day (ie no forced overtime), and no children are employed.
